Friday, November 22: Explore The Unknown

Exploring the unknown provides students with a unique opportunity to embrace uncertainty. Venturing into unfamiliar territories encourages them to step outside their comfort zones and confront new challenges. These explorations introduce new languages, customs, and ways of thinking, enriching their academic experiences while cultivating essential life skills such as resilience, empathy, and open-mindedness.

Workshop: Work Authorization in the USA (Post-OPT)

Description:
Do you want to work in the U.S. after you graduate? Are you on an F-1 visa? Attend this workshop to learn more about Optional Practical Training (OPT) and how to apply for a work permit to stay in the U.S. and work in your field of study after graduation. This workshop is required for all students who will apply for OPT and will graduate in Fall 2024 semester. Attend this workshop BEFORE you apply for post-completion OPT.

CISS Coffee Hour: Body Art

What’s behind a tattoo? More than just decoration, come hear about the cultural significance and meaning behind tattoos and other body-arts from around the world and take part in henna and fake tattoos. At CISS Coffee Hour the UConn community can learn about different cultural perspectives through presentations and food and make friends. All are welcome!
