Ngozi Taffe, Ph.D. is the Associate Vice President for Global Affairs at the University of Connecticut. In this role, she is responsible for driving the strategic vision of the university as it pertains to global partnerships, faculty and student mobility, research, and creating a pipeline for research scholars. Prior to this role, she served as the Assistant Vice President for Global Affairs where her responsibilities included the oversight and development of Experiential Global Learning (EGL) programs, Global Risk, and Program Assessment. In her time as Associate Vice President for Global Affairs, she created the first UConn EGL programs in sub-Saharan Africa (Ghana, Rwanda, Kenya), with many more to come. Read more.

A leader in learning and cognitive processing, among Brown’s most notable accomplishments includes his work as one of the creators of the web-based GlobalEd2 (GE2) simulation program, which since 1998 has led to significant improvements in writing abilities, critical and scientific thinking, leadership, and problem solving among the more than 13,000 middle-schoolers from 14 states who have taken part in this interdisciplinary social studies game.

Sita Nyame joined the Global Affairs team as Global Operations Manager in May 2024. In this role, she works in collaboration with senior leadership on strategic projects, coordinates and manages day-to day operational and communication activities. She is also continuing her work on program assessments and evaluation on the impacts of experiential global learning on students. Prior to this, she worked as a program assistant in the Experiential Global Learning (EGL) department. Read more.
