The Norian Harvest Festival, a part of the UConn’s Norian Armenian Programs, was a vibrant celebration of Armenian culture and history. The mission of UConn’s Norian Armenian Programs is to educate the UConn community and the broader public about Armenian culture and history by providing forums for Armenians and Armenian-Americans to share knowledge and traditions. The event featured a variety of engaging activities, including a musical performance by Zulal, an a cappella folk trio, and several interactive workshops such as Armenian storytelling and cookie making. Research presentations explored topics in Armenian history and culture, and the festival concluded with the Alice K. Norian Lecture, where Dr. Nelli Hovhannisyan shared insights on Armenia’s ancient viticulture heritage. The day ended with a reception, allowing attendees to connect and enjoy Armenian cuisine.
