UConn-led QuantumCT Opens New Haven Headquarters

The 4,500-square-foot space is in the heart of the state’s quantum infrastructure and will serve as an incubator for research and innovation.

UConn leaders joined state officials and other partners on Oct. 6 to cut the ribbon on a New Haven headquarters for QuantumCT, centralizing the federally funded mission to advance Connecticut as a quantum technology catalyst.

QuantumCT now has a 4,500-square-foot home at 101 College Street in New Haven. The building will serve as an incubator space and hub for quantum researchers, entrepreneurs, students, and collaborators. UConn President Radenka Maric and interim vice president for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship Lindsay DiStefano were among the delegation on hand to cut the ribbon on the space.

“To the researchers, students, public leaders, industry partners, and community members gathered here: thank you for investing your expertise, energy, and confidence in this shared vision,” said Maric. “Together, we are building a talent pipeline, an innovation ecosystem, and a place where the next generation can help lead a transformative field.”

QuantumCT is a nonprofit, public-private partnership established to build the quantum ecosystem in Connecticut. UConn, Yale, Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), industry leaders, and the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development shape the QuantumCT on its governing board.
